Private Schools Math Coordinators

Over a hundred math coordinators from the different private schools of NCR attended the meeting last Wednesday, January 25 in Deeco. The meeting was actually the second for this month. During the first meeting the coordinators from each area (Manila, Quezon City North, Quezon City South, Caloocan, and Southern NCR) chose their representative. This time, the attendees agreed to have these representatives as the officers of MTAP NCR Private Schools –(different sets of officers for elementary and high school levels).
After the announcement of the dates of the succeeding stages of Math Challenge and the respective venues, the test papers were distributed for rechecking. The coordinators/teachers grouped themselves according to level and category and deliberated on the answers and solutions before corrections were made. Corrections were recorded and the body agreed that after the announcement of the cut-off, no more corrections shall be entertained.
The cut-off scores were announced and were also written on the white board. After the meeting, all the attendees, i.e coordinators or coaches, knew whether their school team qualified in the level as well as the composition of each team. The contestants will receive their information from their respective schools, not from MTAP.
