Division (Area) Winners - Elementary
MANILA
The Division Finals of the Metrobank-MTAP-DepEd Math Challenge for the private schools of Manila was succesfully held in Philippine Cultural High School, Main last February 15, 2005. Our sincerest gratitude to the following: Mr. Emilio Gan, PCHS Principal, for generously providing us the venue; Mr. Fidel Savares, PCHS Math Coordinator, for the prompt and aggressive coordination; Ms Sanet Hipolito, CKSC Trainor, for guiding Mr. Savares; the judges - Mrs. Lualhati Marquez (Ret DepEd Supervisor), Nestor Noble (UST Professor) and the rest of the resource persons, faculty and trainers who assisted in the competition.

QUEZON CITY
Last February 15, teams from the different schools of Pasig, Mandaluyong, San Juan, Marikina and Quezon City met at Sacred Heart Academy of Novaliches for the area finals. Having performed well in the elimination stage held last January 21 in their respective divisions, these teams qualified in the area orals.
Our heartfelt thanks to the Directress of the school, Mrs. Zabarte, for allowing us to use their school facilities . The preparations was overwhelming. The entire academe contributed to the success of the events. All the teachers assisted: proctors, quizmasters, scorers, emcee, etc. Thank you also to the judges: Dr. Soledad Dilao, Mrs. Luzviminda Funa, Mrs. Myrna Agtarap and Mr. Robert Agtarap.

The contest for Pasay area was participated in by the qualified schools from the divisions of Muntinlupa, Paranaque, Taguig-Pateros, Makati, Pasay and Las Pinas. Thank you very much to Ms Evangeline Ilagan for facilitating the event despite the short notice.
