Individual Winners

How was the individual contest done? How does one become a Sectoral winner? When will the next individual contest be? Who will move to the National finals? These are but some of the questions that are repeatedly asked. Here's the answers to all these questions:

  • The selection of the individual finalists is based from the scores in the Elimination Stage.. The topnotcher in each division automatically qualifies to the individual finals (provided the score is at least 35). The scores of the rest of the contestants are then arranged from highest to lowest, regardless of division. The top 20 (approximately) completes the list of individual finalists. (The Elimination Stage was held last January 21 for elementary and January 22 for high school. The individual finals was held in San Francisco High school last February 12.)
  • The top ten scorers from the private schools are the Private Sectoral Winners. The top ten scorers from the public schools are the Public Sectoral Winners.
  • The top ten scorers, after combining the private and the public school winners are the Regional Winners of NCR.
  • The Top 1 (and only the top 1!) of Grade 6 and Fourth Year (Category A and B) will represent NCR in the National Finals.
